Shoebox Memories is a family run business in the metropolitan Washington DC area (South Riding, VA). We help clients preserve their most cherished memories -- whether they're priceless family photographs or home videos or a mixture of both. Shoebox Memories is owned and operated by Kevin and Alice Chin, and we proudly serve clients nationwide and in the local Northern Virginia/Washington DC metro area.
We started out doing this for ourselves, our friends, and our families -- but decided to share our expertise and know-how with clients starting in 2003.
While doing our initial research for the business, we discovered that most of the similar companies did not offer all the "features" that we had been including in our own personal DVDs. We also found that others (such as videographers) were charging substantial amounts of money for this service -- particularly when it came to creating wedding slide shows and preserving older wedding photos. We felt the market did not have a "reasonable cost, high quality option", and we aim to be just that.
We specialize in creating highly customized photo montages and DVD slide shows, and we're the original developers of the DVD Keepsake. Many of our competitors (such as videographers) will offer this as a side-offering to their primary business. By focusing our expertise and treating our customers' precious memories like we would our own family's, we have built a service which offers .
Originally, we only provided DVD Slide Show services, but we have since branched out into serveral additional "memory" services. We currently offer a variety of photo and video-related products and services to help you preserve ALL your memories. We can help digitally scan your photos, negatives or slides so you can bring childhood photos onto your computer. We can convert old home movies or videotapes into the modern DVD format. We can also help you create highly customized digital yearbooks or scrapbooks, and we have many ideas and fun ways to share your favorite snapshots.!
